Programs: Children Program:- Provide education to the children between the ages of 6 and 14 with basic academic and social skills allowing for a smoother transition to government schools. Women Program: Self Help Groups (SHG) - a voluntary collective of rural women from similar disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, these groups provide women the opportunity to learn the importance of education as well as a variety of programs on how to generate income. Training Program: The main idea of training is to develop the ability and skill in the recipients for meaningful and efficient accomplishment of the assigned agenda and training is the key element of human development process. For lack of training, one remains ignorant on how-to-do in spite of knowing what to do. Training is essential to impart the know-how on the strategy of implementation and qualities of good leadership within a management. · Continue to provide market oriented skill training to women and adolescent girls. · Organizing mothers of children, who are attending educational classes, and involve them in saving, thrift & credit, skill training and income generation activities. · Integrating adult literacy with skill training and income generation or making literacy a precondition for skill training and income generation activities. · Developing leadership with the communities and linking them with government and non-government facilities. · Generate awareness level among common people though involving women Health Program: · Training Health Workers from project areas, wherever there is direct implementation of health activities. · Involving the mother's group in identifying and training on reproductive health, initiating sanitation activities within the locations. · Involving the adolescent and youth in larger issues like environment and sanitation etc so as to make them responsible towards the society as a whole. Environmental program: The long-term goal of the project is ENHANCING THE UNDERSTANDING OF ENVIRONMENT, ITS PROBLEM AND POSSIBLE REMEDIAL MEASURES AMONGST STUDENTS, TEACHERS, PARENTS AND VILLAGE PEOPLE LEADING TO NATURE CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION. The project objectives are : · Children are sensitized to nature conservation and environment protection · Schools and parents support is harnessed in promoting environmental awareness. · Promote community awareness for the environment. Micro credit Program: · Providing micro finance services for income - generation schemes. · Encouraging voluntary savings. · Organizing people to access government schemes designed for them · Providing legal counseling when necessary Human Rights program: Observing the Human Rights situation of the country KSDESH formulated issue based movement, legal education, legal assistance and training to establish social rights, legal assistance and training to establish social justice and peace for rural poor, Village-based mediation committee meeting, orientation meeting, seminar/workshop organized, Rally, Procession and created pressure group. Youth Development program: Ø Preparing youth for adaptability, self-knowledge, time/stress/conflict management, and a sense of responsibility, accountability, organisation, teamwork and an opportunity to learn one or more languages. Ø create among youths to increase awareness, understanding and appreciation of the socio-economic and cultural realities of international society. Ø To foster among young participants a greater understanding as a basis for meaningful collaboration in local and international development. Ø To foster among participants the understanding that they are members of an interdependent world. Ø To provide participants with unique and hands-on learning opportunities.
